About AlMahdi Center Brooklyn, NY

The Almahdi Center in Brooklyn, NY, has been a cherished Islamic community hub since it opened in 2001. After purchasing the 779 Building, the center created a welcoming space for worship, education, and social connection.

At Almahdi Center, daily prayers and Jummah services bring the community together, helping everyone deepen their connection to Allah and the teachings of Islam. The center also offers classes on the Quran, Hadith, and Islamic principles, along with youth programs that help young people develop a strong sense of identity and values.

In addition to religious activities, the Almahdi Center focuses on community outreach. It hosts events that encourage interfaith dialogue and understanding, reflecting the Islamic values of compassion and coexistence. Workshops and seminars on topics like Islamic ethics and social justice inspire members to live out their faith in everyday life.

About Hawza Ilmiyya :

Hawza Ilmiyya started with its first introductory classes in 1999
in the house of Hajj Sayyid Hasan Imrani. It was relocated from there
to the house of Hajj Sayyid Assadullah Ebady, and was then moved to
the residence of Hujjatul Islam Dr. Sakhawat Hussain.

Alhamdulillah, it is now officially established at the Islamic Institute of Theology
in Philadelphia, PA and Hawzah Illmiah New York.

The classes of Usool ul-Fiqh, Sharhe Lum’a, and Muqaddimaat are
taught by Hujjatul Islam Dr. Sakhawat Hussain.

The Hawza Ilmiyya classes are being held at Al-Mahdi Center NY every Sunday.
